I've never really talked about my hair journey on blog because it hasn't been the easiest or most glamorous part of my life. When I was younger, my hair was quite difficult to tame as it puffed out with any hint of moisture in the air. I'm sure you could imagine the ridicule I felt as a young teen, comparing my hair to that of my classmates and friends.
Throughout my adolescence I tried to ide my natural hair by trying out different hairstyles like braids, weaves, and so forth. But never felt like "me". It wasn't until someone had asked me "why don't you try wearing your hair natural?" That I really started to think about making the transition again. I finally went to the salon and got my first press and curl in years. My natural hair turned out to be long and luscious, and it had trained itself to behave in a completely different way than I was used to. I loved wearing my hair natural and haven't had an weave since.
With wearing natural hair comes using natural hair products that will make the maintenance much easier. I have found that shampoos with tea tree oil really refreshes my hair without the use of damaging chemicals. I've been trying out Maple Holistics All Natural Tea Tree Shampoo for the past couple of weeks and it has become the first thing I use when washing my hair.
My hair journey has been treacherous for the past couple of years, but with new products I find that having natural isn't that bad. In fact, it has become my preference.

It's officially the first day of spring, and you know that means right? It means that all the new spring collections are coming out! Finally, we get to trade our heavy winter clothing for new lightweight pieces. For me, spring is a time when I like to update my wardrobe by getting rid of the old and welcoming the new, especially when coming to my intimates. This season I hyper-focused on buying new bras, panties, and even trying some new pieces like bralettes. Little did I know that I would be wearing it more often than all of my bras. It has become a favorite of mine and a definite spring staple.
Instead of wearing a plain black bra, I opt for this lacey-white bralette underneath a crisp white top. I like how you can catch glimpses of the lace while either in the sun or simply moving around. It gives me a subtle yet sexy confidence as I know the bralette will peekaboo throughout the day. This look is perfect for spending the afternoon in Venice and making a personalized bouquet of fresh Spring-time flowers from this amazing flower truck.
Having a new positive outlook on wearing bralettes, It's obvious that I buy more to satisfy my love for wearing them while it's hot outside. The website Adore Me has pages full of options when coming to intimate apparel, and I already found a bralette just like the one I already own! The Larkin Unlined is top-rated and I can't wait to try it! The great thing about Adore Me is that you can try on the items you're interested in at home before actually purchasing. This is quite convenient considering my bralette size can be different from my actual bra size. I also get to see what colors and styles work on me and I don't even have to leave the house, all for $24.99. Sounds good to me!

Spring has finally arrived and I couldn't be more excited to be greeted by the sun everyday. Living in sunny Southern California, it's inevitable that everyone needs a pair of shades. I've been rocking these classic black frames for ages, but with the refreshing start of 2017 I've been looking for a new pair.
My recent interest in finding a new pair of shades is perfect, as Warby Parker's new spring collection called Sunscapades is being released today! They are introducing new styles and colors that are sure to make a statement on any trip to any destination. My Sunscapade destination of choice is Venice. I've been going to Abbot Kinney and for the very first time I went to the Venice Canals in Marina Del Ray. I have selected a couple of pairs that I would wear in light of my trip to the canals.
1. Aubrey {Smoky Quartz}
As a fan of neutral colors, this pair of shades would be perfect for a more muted look. I love the natural skin-tone effect they have on the face and would love to have them riding down the canyons on my way to the beach.
2. Margot {Marzipan Tortoise}
These tortoise shell frames are a definite showstopper with their quirky octagonal design. I would wear these on the streets of Abbot Kinney as I walk down the strip to shop, making a head-turning statement along the way.
3. Madison {Sky Blue}
The Madison's are a reflection of the clear blue sky we finally get to see. It's an epic color to pull off, especially when going towards the water.
4. Pearl {Marzipan Topaz}
These shades have to be my favorite as I'm loving the round frame and subtle tortoise shell design. Looking at these frames reminds of vintage shopping around the hip pockets of Venice.

With the Winter being as cold as ever, even in sunny Southern California, switching from sandals to boots in absolutely necessary. Boots are on my favorite kind of shoes to collect, as they seamlessly go with any outfit. I like to keep a variety of different styles in order to keep my outfit stylish while staying warm, fashion and function. With inspiration from King Saddle Ranch Shop, here are my favorite boots for the cold Winter season.
Western Cowgirl Boots
I love wearing leather western boots when it gets chilly outside. The brown heel not only keeps me dry when walking in the rain, but adds a pop of detail to my monochrome outfit. It was hard for me to find a classic quality style like this, but once I found a pair I wear them every time the temperature cools down. If you're looking for a western boot like this one, King Saddle Ranch Shop has a number selections to choose from for cowboys and multiple styles for cowgirls.

Chelsea Boots
Chelsea boots are a classic. They are the perfect choice for any outfit as they slide on quickly and easily. I like to pair Chelsea boots with almost every outfit, as they more sophistication to the look.

Cutout Boots
Everyone needs a pair of statement shoes, and with my boot obsession, I had to have these. These shoes are some of the most versatile as I can wear them in the summer the way they are or switch it up by adding socks or tights in the Winter. They are the perfect choice when I wasn't to stand out more.

When coming to interiors, I tend to be inspired by the beauty of the French balcony. The reflection of simplicity and elegance are what I would love to see in something like a dream vanity. Lately I've become more interested in beauty as getting my makeup ready for the day is one of my favorite things to do. I always think about creating a space solely for the process, to make me feel more organized and of course more glamourous. With inspiration from the multiple Frenc-inspired items on Arhaus.com, I was able to create my idea of the perfect Parisian-inspired vanity space.
Instead of taking up space with a desk lamp, I would feature a chandelier or pendant lighting in my vanity area so that I can see myself properly when applying makeup. I would choose a light with gold accents to add to the French-inspired theme of the space I would want to create. The pendant lighting on A
Organization
For my makeup, I'd rather feature a couple of products and keep organized elsewhere. This lipstick and makeup brush holder are perfect for displaying some of my favorite products while still looking simplistic and organized. Additionally, I would add hanging organization units on the walls next to vanity featuring a couple of fragrances and maybe even some of my favorite eyeshadow pallets. The perfect finishing touch to any space would have to be a scented candle. I love how this one
Seating
Seating is definitely an important aspect of the vanity area, you have a comfortable yet chic chair to sit in. I'm absolutely in love with these fur chairs as they look like they would be comfortable to sit in while doing my makeup routine.
Decor
I'm a fan of minimalism, and instead of hanging inspirational quotes or pictures in my vanity space, I'd rather feature some of my favorite fashion books as a means of decoration. Plus, if anyone were to come over, they could pick a book their interested in reading. I'd put the books on a small nightstand so that I have as much space as possible on my actual vanity.
Mirror
A vanity space is simply incomplete without a mirror and I love these big dramatic gold ones. They remind me of French architecture and if I had it my way, I'd definitely have one of these selections for my vanity.
