I spontaneously decided to take some pics at the infamous Bates Motel in Silverlake. With the streets being empty, it was the perfect time to put together an outfit and get to work.

Here is an outfit put together with some of my favorite pieces to wear. As most of us have, I went through a phase where a wide brim fedora was a must-have addition to any and every outfit. I decided to revisit this time and wear this felt fedora I got last year. Now, the leather jacket. I've always been a fan of throwing a leather jacket over a look regardless if I'm actually wearing it or not. Sometimes it's just too hot in LA to wear a jacket so the perfect solution is to throw it over your shoulders and rock it. I added my signature white button down shirt with a tan suede skirt to give my outfit some "color" and finished up with a vintage belt I got in my thrifting days. Don't forget the black boots! Always a good choice when you know you're going to be stomping concrete.

The Bates Motel is definitely a picture-worthy spot to visit, especially if you like the color white as much as I do. Of course I went to Dinosaur coffee right across the street for some iced coffee to cool off, finishing this shoot.

I'll be bringing you more outfit pictures soon!

So it's raining in LA, and with all this new Spring 2016 clothing in your wardrobe you have to dig through your Autumn collection and fish out that coat you wore a only couple of times and that umbrella that never gets to be in the spotlight. Well, I love the nostalgia of fall as much as I love my everyday California weather. As much as I didn't want to leave my warm comfortable home, I thought it would be cool to shoot my take on a rainy day outfit. If  you know me, you know that wearing neutrals are my signature and I love the versatility and simplicity of black, white, and brown. The good thing about black is that it is such a versatile color, especially when it comes in different textures. White has the same kind of versatility as it adds a classic freshness to any ensemble. Here I paired a soft black coat with a faux leather skirt, my signature white button down shirt, with black tights and black boots. To add a little brightness I rocked my favorite burgundy lipstick and even had my new little circle clutch along with a couple of bills to get some coffee after this chilly photoshoot. Rainy days in LA don't have to be so gloomy and depressing, as long as you're ready.

Saint Heron, a community brought to us by Solange Knowles embraces culture, diversity, and uniqueness. It has presented Los Angeles with an event to bring people of interest in fashion, photography, music, and so on to vibe together in one space. Having noticed the event posting on instagram I jumped at the opportunity to attend and was even accompanied Alexus, my friend and blogger. With a special performance from Kelsey Lu as well as old school and new school music playing as people interacted, mingled, and most importantly danced, I can say that it was a true pleasure to attend the event. (Not sponsored). Solange Knowles herself made an appearance in all white at the venue and vibed with the very people she brought together, reflecting her organic and humble spirit. I'm grateful for the opportunity to see one of my top inspirations in person.

For my outfit of choice I went with Ivory as white is not only one of my favorite colors but embodies certain aspects of my spirit as well. Ivory is so representative of purity, peace, and elegance. As much as I love being more casual during the week, on the weekend I like to be a a bit more feminine. Free People is my one and only place for signature feminine dresses. I live for dramatic bell sleeves and delicate aesthetically pleasing lace. This is dress is one of my favorites as it undoubtedly sweet and romantic.
