One of my favorite bloggers Aimee Song released her New York Best Seller book Capture Your Style on September 20, 2016. As a blogger, it's great to get tips, tricks, and advice from a someone I  respect personally and professionally. Obviously following Aimee on Instagram, I found out that she was going to be in LA at the Grove for a book signing on October 26th, just one day before the event. Living only 20 minutes away from the Grove and having the day off from work, it was a no-brainer that I had to attend and get my book signed.

     The next day, I was ready for the rare and gifted opportunity to meet one on my favorite bloggers in-person. After looking at Aimee's Instagram post again, I noticed that mentioned that fashion icon and author of the foreword of her book Diane von Furstenburg was going to be there as well. I couldn't believe that I was going to the meet another woman I heavily respect as she continues to be a leading woman in the fashion industry. With my book and DSLR in hand, I arrived at the DVF store at the Grove and upon entrance I was greeted by glasses of champagne and multiple plates of hors d'oeuvres, just like a VIP. I felt special, and most importantly welcomed by people that have similar interests and taste. As I waited in line to get my book signed, I socialized with the people around me and even a couple of photographers. Then, Diane von Furstenburg herself walked in happily greeting everyone as if she knew them personally. She was incredibly warm and inviting, only increasing my endearment towards her. Waiting just a couple more minutes I made it to Aimee Song, and engaged in short conversation as she took the time to write a personal message as well as sign the first page of my book. She gave me a hug and we took a couple of pictures together. I hung around the store for a little longer and then left, feeling more than grateful for the ability to experience this event.

I'd like to thank Aimee Song & Diane von Furstenburg for giving people like me the opportunity to meet our icons in efforts to push us towards our dreams and aspirations. Opportunity is rare, and I'm happy that I was able to engage in this event and enjoy this experience.

      When you're on-the-go and the scenery changes from day to night you don't want to have to think about changing your entire makeup look and outfit, especially when you're on vacation. I'm currently enjoying my last winter break as I have just finished my last semester of University. After enduring four years of studies, this 21 year-old college graduate deserves the celebration of a lifetime and what better place to go than Vegas! I've been to Vegas once before as a kid but never as an adult looking to have a good time in celebration of her success. With any vacation comes planning, and being an organized individual I use Vegas.com for the hotel package deals to see what I can get for my trip. My personal favorites are the deals featured for the Venetian, Palazzo, and Bellagio hotels. Being so big, bold, and romantic, I would like to match the scenery with a sweet look for the daytime and something more dramatic for a night out on the Strip. I use the same looks on a regular day in Los Angeles when I'm on-the-go as my scenery changes within just a couple of hours. Here's how I transition from day to night.

     During the day I like to keep my look natural and blushed so I incorporate a lot of rosy pinks on the eyes and cheeks. I do this by using the Naked 3 Palette as well as the Lorac Pro Palette for nicely pigmented eyeshadows that reflect beautifully in the sun. I essentially try to achieve a light rose gold. First, I use "Trick" as a base on the entire lid of my eye, then I dab a little bit of "Buzz" on top to give it a more rosy look. One of my favorite things to do with eyeshadows is use a light glitter on the inner-corners of my eyes. "Dust" is the perfect shade for this effect so I go ahead and do so on both corners. I also use the same eyeshadow just below my eyebrows and right above my cupid's bow for a little more highlight. Moving on to the Lorac Pro Palette, I use "Gold" and "It Bronze" on the outer corners of my eyes for more definition.  For the finishing touch I use a signature makeup trick of mine which is to use a gold shadow on my cheeks, almost like a blush. After the eyes, I do my everyday winged eyeliner, put on mascara, blush, eyebrows, and my favorite daytime perfume Chloe Love Story. Lastly, I'll decide on what kind of lip I'm going to do to complete the look. I love layering lipstick to achieve different shades so I lightly use Mac's burgundy lipstick "Diva" as a base and then go over it with Mac's "Brick-O-La" which is more of a natural pink. For my outfit, I used cool-toned neutrals to go with my makeup look. This kind of ensemble is perfect for going to my favorite coffee shop Alfred Coffee + Kitchen for my signature hot vanilla latte.

     For night time, I like to go for a more daring look so I amp up the darker tones in my makeup and outfit. For my eyes I use the Naked 2 Palette which has amazing shades for a look that makes a statement. Since we're going to be out all night I always start off by using a primer on my eyes and some tinted moisturizer on my face. After that I begin with eyeshadows using "Half Baked" as a base on the entire lid of my eye and then go over it with "Gold" from the Lorac Pro Palette. Then I use "Pewter" from the same palette on the outer corners of my eyes for more definition. Next I go back to the Naked 2 Palette and use "YDK" on the inner corners and finish off with "Chopper" on top. I also use "Chopper" for a little highlight just below my brows, on top of the cheeks, and above my cupid's bow. After the eyeshadows I touch up winged eyeliner, blush, eyebrows, and even add some eyelash extensions to really make my eyes stand out. For lips I solely use Mac's "Diva" for a signature red lip. Since the sun is gone and night is alive, I like to use my favorite sensual perfume Atelier Cologne in Cameila Interpede. I kept my outfit the same and switched out my grey moto jacket for a black leather jacket. I also unbuttoned my top to show a little more skin. This kind of look is perfect for an evening photoshoot with my photographer.

Alfred {Coffee + Kitchen}
If you're looking for an Instagram-worthy spot to get some good quality coffee, Alfred {Coffee + Kitchen} is the place to go. For this year's holiday season they have again collaborated with Paige Denim to bring you a variety of signature coffee sleeves featuring fun sayings and of course quirky puns. Ever since they opened their new location in Studio City, I've been going almost every other day and during the month of December I'll be getting my favorite fa la la la lattes.

Coffee of Choice: Hot Vanilla Latte & Chai Tea Latte

Starbucks
With so many coffee shops in LA I tend to overlook Starbucks during the year, however when it comes to the holidays, it's my number one place to go for inventive seasonal flavors. This year they have the Christmas Cookie Latte, Eggnog Latte, Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate and more. Additionally, the cups this season are some of the most festive I've ever seen! Whether it's the morning, afternoon, or evening, Starbucks never fails to get me in the mood for the holidays.

Coffee of Choice: Gingerbread latte & Caramel Brûlée Latte

Hot Chocolate of Choice: White Peppermint Hot Chocolate & Peppermint Hot Chocolate w/ Chocolate flakes

Now that we are in the midst of Autumn, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder. Since Fall came so abruptly, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out how to transition your summer wardrobe into Fall appropriate outfits. With inspiration from the better-fitting, better-looking menswear & accessories company Bonobos, my brother and I have created a transitional autumnal lookbook.

For women, it's all about high necks, long sleeves, signature skirts, and the perfect accessories to tie the look together. As a style blogger that's constantly on the go, I wear pieces that make me look presentable while simultaneously keeping me warm as I run my errands in the beautiful Beverly Hills. Street fashion is everything when walking down Rodeo Drive, and with a powerful walk these are the perfect outfits for the early transition into fall. For men, the newest trends are colored pants. Wearing pants in colors other than black show off a bit more personality and can make a simple outfit stand out. As a photographer and traveler, coordinating colored pants with the right pieces allows my brother to look casual while still being stylish. The perfect place to look for pants like these for our new introduction to the cold weather is the pants page on Bonobos.com.

Here are the outfits you should be looking to recreate for Autumn.

Every piece of jewelry has a story. The pieces that I've collected over time all have a je ne sais quoi that make them special to me, and that's the stories they tell. Sometimes it's the story that makes the jewelry become invaluable in one's life. Here are few of my favorite jewelry pieces and tales behind them.

Golden Flower Crown
Zara
As a romantic, I immediately fell for the the delicacy presented in one of the few hair accessories that I own, the golden flower crown. There's something about this piece that reminds me of one of my all time favorite fashion shows, the Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Ever since watching that show I dreamed of owning a D&G crown. This headpiece is one of my favorite pieces, especially when I want to look a little more pretty and angelic.

Minimalistic Rings
New York {Chelsea Market}
If you were to ask me what piece of jewelry I couldn't live without it would be these two rings. I took a small trip to New York for the very first time and of the places I wanted to visit was Chelsea Market. When I found out that a couple vendors sell unique art and jewelry at a part of the market called Artists & Fleas I had to go.

Navigating myself around New York for the first time was difficult to say the least, especially considering it was freezing cold outside. Doing it the old school way, I was following a print out of directions to help me get to Chelsea Market. I thought it would take me no more than 30 minutes to get there. But as the late afternoon turned into night I was literally walking in circles getting nowhere near my destination. As it became 6pm, two hours before Chelsea Market was set to close, I wondered if I should give up and head back to my hotel. Being the ambitious person that I am, I started to think of what I could do to find this place. I started asking any New Yorker I could find that could direct me to the market. After asking a couple of people, I started to be able to decode the streets and was finally able to guide myself through the city. Finally, I arrived at Chelsea Market. I was relieved and beyond proud of myself.

Going through the market and shopping in Artists & Fleas, I found a jewelry booth that sold minimalistic jewelry. Since I was there around Christmas time I got a ring for each of my two friends and 2 rings for myself. These two rings remind of the journey that I took in New York and how I overcame being lost in the city. The story behind these pieces makes them incredibly special to me. I know they'll be items I'll keep in my collection forever.

Minimalistic Necklace
Gift
I got this necklace from my little brother on my birthday last year. I'll admit, I'm not the easiest person to shop for since I have a tendency not to wear things that aren't my taste. Talk about a tough time for gift giving! With jewelry, I have a clear preference for gold minimalistic pieces as it exudes a sense of simplicity and elegance (but not everyone knows that). On my birthday my brother had given me this beautiful necklace. It was perfect for me! I was touched because in that moment he became one of the few people that really understood what I liked. We became closer as a result and that makes this necklace particularly memorable for me.

The few pieces of jewelry that I have are unique in the sense that each and every piece has a story that's significant to my life, and for that they are invaluable.

Canadian photography blogger Infinitely Vicki has collaborated with me to bring you our beauty favorites! Even though we live in two different countries, Vicki and I both have a feminine and sophisticated preference when coming to the products that we use. As young women and two girl bosses that have an undeniable love for blogging and photography, it's important that we embrace our beauty. Here are some of our favorite products!

Coveted Eclectic {California}
1. Flora by Gucci
This perfume is one of the very first fragrances I've received as a gift. After finding it hidden in my closet, I decided to start wearing the last bits that were left. It reminded me of why I loved this fragrance so much. Its distinct rich scent with hints of bergamot and sandalwood makes this perfect fragrance for the abrupt transition into fall.

2. Hope in a Jar Cream
This cream has become my holy grail item when coming to skincare. I'm usually not one to use creams on my face but Hope in a Jar has done wonders for my skin. After a couple of weeks of using this moisturizer, I found my skin softer and more defined. I'll definitely be restocking on the full-size version of this product.
3. Caudalie Paris
Vinoperfect Cleansing Water
This cleansing water has become another holy grail item for me when coming to removing makeup. One thing I hate is when makeup removers leave my skin feeling rough and dry. Not only does this cleansing water seamlessly remove all my makeup, it leaves my skin nice and soft. The best thing about this product is the fact that it's made with organic grape water and camomile. The scent adds an elegant touch to the end of my skincare routine.
4. Caudalie Paris
Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid
This product is life saving when coming to getting rid of dark circles and loose pores. After a couple of weeks of using it around my eyes the bags slowly began to decrease. I especially like how light the cream is as I don't enjoy having heavy product on my face all day. Sometimes I'll use the perfecting fluid as a primer for my makeup but most of the time I'll put it on after cleansing my face in the morning.
5. Caudalie Paris
Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
This has to be my favorite products when coming to skincare. This serum really keeps my skin feeling clean throughout the night as I apply it right before bed. Keeping the consistency of the beautiful scent, it also corrects any discoloration on the face, especially when coming to the darkness under my eyes.

Infinitely Vicki {Canada}
1. E.L.F Cosmetics Bronzer (Color: Gold)
2. Mac Instacurl Mascara
3. Too Cool For School's Egg Mousse Pack
4. Colourpop x Jenn Im- Jenn Ne Sais Quoi-Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick (Color: Dohee)
5. Colourpop x Jenn Im- Jenn Ne Sais Quoi- Lip Pencil (Color: Dohee)
6. L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation (Color: Nude Beige 203)

As a California native, I like scents and anything that keeps my skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. Check out Infinitely Vicki's blog for her beauty favorites and what she's been loving to use in Canada!

I especially like how light the cream is as I don't enjoy having heavy product on my face all day. Sometimes I'll use the perfecting fluid as a primer for my makeup but most of the time I'll put it on after cleansing my face in the morning.
